Rice CS PhD alumnus Kuldeep Meel's paper selected for conference anniversary

Rice CS PhD alumnus Kuldeep Meel

While still working on his master's degree, Rice University Computer Science alumnus Kuldeep Meel (Ph.D. '17) co-authored a paper that has been selected to represent the 2013 International Conference on Constraint Programming (CP) in an anniversary edition that celebrates 25 years of the CP conference.

The paper, “A Scalable Approximate Model Counter”, co-authored with Supratik Chakraborty (IITB) and Moshe Vardi (Rice), presented the first scalable approximate model counter.

Meel, the Sun Kah Kay Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore, said in a recent NUS article, “CP is the leading conference in my research area, and is close to my heart as some of my favourite papers were published at CP. It is truly an honour to have our paper recognised.”
