Vladimir Braverman is a Victor E. Cameron Professor of Computer Science
the Department of Computer Science at Rice University and a Visiting Researcher at Google.
Prior to joining Rice University, Braverman was
an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University,
with the secondary appointment in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, a member of the Johns Hopkins Mathematical Institute for Data Science (MINDS) and the Institute for Data Intensive Engineering and Science (IDIES). Braverman graduated from UCLA; before that, he was leading a research group at HyperRoll, a startup that has been acquired by Oracle in 2009.
Braverman’s research interests include algorithms
, machine learning, digital health and
computer network.
He is a recipient of NSF CAREER award, Google Faculty Award and Cisco Faculty Award.
