Adam and I know each other because we were both undergrads at U.C. Berkeley doing computer stuff. Adam's currently working for Microsoft, and I was a summer intern there. Convenient, no?
Probably the part I wasn't expecting, even though it seems obvious, was that
other Bay Area folks would make the trek up to the wedding. Sure enough,
I got to see Sean and Dave, wearing spiffy matching tuxedos
and holding matching beer bottles. Sean's girlfriend Aimée was there, too.
Sean and Dave were nice enough not to crack Microsoft jokes.
Sean: We're being really good.Dave: It hurts.
The wedding ceremony was blissfully short, which is especially appreciated
when wearing warm formal clothing in the hot sun. Then they had the
standard dance music (although Adam admits to bribing the D.J. to avoid playing
Hava Nagila) and before anybody knew it, Adam and Connie hopped into
an old Rolls Royce (rented) and were whisked away into the sunset. Of course,
Sean had to insure he got good spy photos of the exit, thus hiding in the
bushes.
