Getting to Rice

To locate Rice in Houston, I suggest using one of the many free on-line map services, such as Yahoo! Maps, MapsOnUs and MapQuest. They all locate Rice's address, 6100 S. Main, Houston 77005, TX, accurately. They also provide driving directions. This link takes you directly to a map of Rice at Yahoo!.

Parking at Rice

Enter Rice through Entrance 8, which is on University Boulevard. Proceed to the campus police station to obtain your visitor's pass. They open at 7am. (If you haven't already, let us know if you will need a pass!) You can park anywhere in the stadium parking lot except in the first row. (The ``first'' row is the one closest to the wide building that runs roughly north-south and houses the music school.)

Getting to Duncan Hall

Ignore the parking directions given in the Duncan Hall Visitors Map. From the stadium lot, you can either walk or take the campus shuttle. To walk, proceed along the northern segment of the loop road to the north-east corner of campus. It should take ten to fifteen minutes. By shuttle, take a bus on the ``Inner Loop'' route from Shelter #1 or Shelter #2 to Duncan Hall.
