Much of the academic work you do at Rice will be covered by the honor system. The amount of communication among students (proofreading, discussion of ideas, etc.) and the amount of reference materials allowed is at the discretion of the professor, who should state very precisely what is expected in this area. Copies of the Honor Code can be obtained in the Dean of Students' office. The Honor Code at Rice is taken very seriously!
